Scott Ward was born and raised in a small town in Northeastern Ohio, where a rural backdrop instilled in him a love for nature at a young age. Dabbling in art throughout grade school, this appreciation for beauty in nature deeply grew.
Ward continued his education at Kent State University, studying interior design, art history, and painting. Focusing his direction on mediums such as glass, metal, and ceramics, he graduated from Kent State in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Crafts.
Ward has since built a ceramics studio at his home in Kent, Ohio, where he still works and lives. He intends to share his passion for nature’s beauty by creating sculptural and functional objects for his local community, greater Appalachia, and wherever his roots can reach.
