|Dimensions||6 x 6 x 2.5 in|
An average sized bowl, measuring 6 inches wide and 2.5 deep, it has a soft beige glaze covering a dark brown splatter. Wabi-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic principle, mostly dealing with finding beauty in the imperfect and impermanent. This series of bowls was created as a practice in wabi-sabi, allowing each to move freely in creation, and then be spontaneously decorated with splatters of slip, in order to create something that is not perfect, yet still has its own natural beauty that is less contrived.
All of my items are handcrafted, leaving each with its own individuality. They can be made into multiples of a unique family upon request; simply contact me to discuss this.
